What is CowHost?

I want to offer a "safe harbor" for friends that want to get rid of big corpos as much as possible, and guide them towards a more hopeful and sovereign online future. To that end, I offer hosting services and websites.
Onboarding and services will be offered on a case-by-case basis and depending on the capacity, but I am hoping to accommodate any reasonable request or come to a good compromise. Basically if I know you or someone I know you vouches for you, I can host your stuff :)

What technologies are supported?

CowHost uses Piku to deploy websites and services. Piku supports a wide variety of technologies, some are listed here but others are possible too. Currently, the following is installed:

• Golang
• Hugo
• Python 3
• NodeJS 24 with NPM

More technologies can and most likely will be installed on demand.

What is the state of CowHost?

I am currently setting up and trialing things, working out the kinks. I won’t onboard more people yet, but very soon!
